We decided tonight that we are pulling Walter out of soccer. Or at least, not going any more. We tried to play tonight, just for fun, so he would learn to enjoy it, and once again he broke down in tears. We cannot figure out why he hates it so much so we decided not to push it. Evan pointed out that being 1 month over the age limit on how young you can be he is visibly the youngest in his class, so maybe we’ll try again next year.
I think we’ll do swimming instead. We want to do the no parent class but I’m worried that might be too much for him. Maybe he is too young for these types of classes just yet….

Sometimes we just don't understand what makes our kids not like something. Probably not a bad idea to drop soccer- he is young and might really enjoy it when he is a little older. Maybe start swimming with one of you and see if he seems ready to do it alone next time around? He'll get there.
